Crystal & Matt - White Laurel Estate

August 1st, 2021, Crystal and Matt said their vows in front of a small gathering of loved ones at White Laurel Estate. The day was absolutely beautiful and the love they shared for one another was tangible. They both have the most infectious smiles and every time they were together, they were grinning ear to ear. It was a celebration of love, unity and bringing together a blended family. One of my favorite moments of the ceremony was the family lighting the unity candle. It was such a special moment and I was honored to have been part of such a memorable day.

Mark and Denise - The Chapel on McEver

When Denise contacted me about photography for her intimate wedding day, it happened to be one of the only Saturdays open on my calendar. Much like everything revolving around her wedding, God was lining things up and orchestrating her day perfectly. We chatted on the phone like old friends about what she desired and how God had been at work putting this special day together. She shared how finding the perfect dress seemed effortless (you know, being 6’3 can really give you some limitations on purchasing clothing) and how the 3rd dress off the rack fit beautifully. And, might I add, that she looked stunning in it!

It was a beautiful day blending two families into one. Mark, Denise and their children all gathered together and shared in this special day. It was such a sweet and intimate ceremony with only their children and parents by their side. Oh, and of course, their amazing friends, Lance and Kate who have been incredible prayer partners and encouragers.. It always amazes me to see such sweet friendships and hear such positive things about how one prayer partner/friend can really change your life.

We ended the evening in the vineyards at Chateau Elan where the grape vines made a perfect backdrop for the newlywed couple.

Baker Wedding at The Barn at Young Harris, Georgia

It was a beautiful day up in the gorgeous north Georgia mountains. The sky was painted the most beautiful blue and the mountains in the distance were beckoning to be seen.

I truly believe that Naomi made a most beautiful bride. With simple hair curls and a dress full of lace, her handmade bouquet had an amazing backdrop to rest upon. The flower details were collected from her own Grammy’s garden along with a few choice pieces that were ordered for the bouquet.

Josiah and his groomsmen were so chill and relaxed. They enjoyed throwing the football around and goofing off, just as young boys should.

As the bride walked down the aisle, arm in arm with her parents, the sprinkles that were coming down began to subside and the fog that rested over the mountains drew your eyes right in towards the happy couple.

They ended the evening dancing under the dark blue sky with family and friends and concluded with the epic sparkler exit.

Intimate Maternity Session, Gainesville, Georgia

When contacting me for maternity sessions, I always give the option to do an intimate studio session (alone or with a significant other) or an outdoor session (usually involving the whole family). Offering both styles allows clients to choose the mood and feel of their photoshoot.

I absolutely love experimenting in the studio with different lighting techniques, lots of different textures and outfits full of lace and often super sheer.

Some clients choose to bring in outfits that they feel comfortable in or they bring in something special that they would like to incorporate into their session. I love it when sessions are personalized and meaningful.

I am always amazed at the human female body and its ability to carry and bring forth life. Some women make it look so easy and their beauty increases during their pregnancy….And this gal showcased just that. I could tell she had done modeling in the past. Her movement was graceful and she was super easy to pose and direct.

Here are a few of my favorites from my latest in studio maternity session.

Gainesville, Georgia Fresh 48 Hospital Session

When I was asked by another local (Buford, Georgia) photographer if I would be willing to take some photos of her new baby at the hospital, I was thrilled. You see when another photographer thinks that your work is good enough for their family, it speaks volumes. Of course I knew mom was a beauty and I’m a sucker for the little “fresh" babies so I couldn't wait for the day to come.

This little guy did not disappoint. He had the sweetest little chubby cheeks and the perfect round face. His skin was amazing and he looked so good in the blue wrap and cap that mom brought with her.

I loved seeing him in the little white t-shirt and hat that the Northeast Georgia Medical Center supplied. (it has to be my favorite look because it really allows you to focus on the baby and all their newborn goodness)

Go ahead and enjoy a few of my favorites from his second day here.

Chris and Amber Say, "I do!" The Grove, Maysville, Georgia

On Cinco De Mayo 2018, Chris and Amber were united before friends and family in a small chapel in Maysville, Georgia.

It was such a sweet and intimate ceremony where they exchanged their vows and shared a kiss.

I loved the simplicity and ease of the entire day. The cake and flowers were perfect and the weather was gorgeous. The sun peeked in and out of the clouds and made for great outdoor photos. The bridal party consisted of family and close friends. Laughter and smiles were shared by many....especially during the famous "shoe game".

I was honored to be able to help celebrate their special day with my husband as my second shooter for the day. He always captures the best candids and close ups.

Please enjoy some of my favorites from the day.

Newborn Twins (brother & sister)

I had the cutest little brother and sister duo in my Gainesville, Georgia studio a couple of weeks ago.

They were itty bitty babies. (probably the smallest babes I've ever photographed inside my studio).

They were pure perfection. They each took their turn having a bottle so I was able to capture some individual photos but my favorites are the images where they are nestled up beside each other. There is something so special about sibling love.

Mom was so excited to bring fresh flowers and have them for the session. I always love when parents want to add a personal touch of styling to the photos.

I love how dainty the little girl is and how expressive the little guy is.

I could have taken so many setups; they slept so well. Please enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

Tammara's Studio Maternity

When I first found out that Tammara was desiring maternity photos, I jumped at the opportunity. I loved having her in the studio. She absolutely loves to be in front of the camera and was a true natural with posing and expression. (not to mention seriously stunning!)

I loved that she allowed me the opportunity to play with lighting, new angles, new dresses and we even tried out the new bed space in the studio. (which I'll be totally honest with saying that they are some of my favorites from the sets)

Tammara is going to be a rockstar mom for sure and I'm excited to see her step into that role. I also can not wait to meet her baby girl!

Lori's Studio Maternity

When Lori first shared with me her vision for maternity photos, I knew right away that I wanted to have her in for a studio session. Upon arrival, we discussed all of her clothing options, and started right away on hair and makeup.  I just knew that Lori was going to be a dream to photograph and she definitely did not disappoint. This girl totally should have been a model! But either way, she was a gorgeous model for me and I loved that she gave me the opportunity to share this moment with her.

I can not wait to meet that sweet boy that she has growing on the inside.

Baby B's Newborn Session

The sweetest little family came to my Gainesville, Georgia studio a couple weeks ago. When discussing a color palette for her baby girl, Mom said she liked soft pinks and neutrals and I think I was able to deliver just that. We were able to include a few Christmas/Winter setups too.

Of course I couldn't go without getting mom and dad in on a few images and boy am I glad I did. I loved how they turned out and I hope you do too.

Sweet "P's" Newborn Session

When this family first connected with me at my Gainesville, Georgia studio, I knew we were going to have a great session.

Both mom and her girls were simply stunning.

I loved that the siblings were able to take part in their baby sisters newborn session. And this baby girl was simply divine. Sleeping nearly her entire session, I barely saw her eyes open. She did end up showing me how beautiful they were during the last couple set ups. Often times, those awake images are my favorite. I adored her sweet, full cheeks and her little back rolls and I hope you do to.

Jinks Vow Renewal

This ceremony took place in downtown Gainesville, Georgia at the Quinlain Arts Center.

Marvin and Natalie have weathered the storms that life has thrown at them. The threat of a little rain never dampened their excitement for this special day. Vow renewals are such special ceremonies and we were honored to take part in this one. Sure the wind and sprinkles came and went, but the joy of the day shined as bright as the sun. The wedding party was a hoot, the reception was so fun, the bride was stunning and this couple is an absolute inspiration. We were blessed to take part in their wonderful day.

A+A Wedding

What a beautiful day in north Georgia.

I met this lovely couple at a coffee shop in Buford and we talked all about their plans and dreams for their wedding.

They were swooning over each other all day. And with a gal that gorgeous, I can see why he never took his eyes off of her.

The ceremony was fun and even consisted of the blessings of the coins, the lasso and several other gifts. It was my first Catholic ceremony that included Mexican traditions. I don't think I was prepared for what all was to be included in the ceremony but I loved seeing the culture and the love of those who attended.

And while we're here, might I just draw attention to that bridal party?! They were a lively crowd and kept me smiling throughout the day.

I'd also like to take the time to thank my amazing second and assistant, Rachel, who helped me tremendously that beautiful fall day.

Sudderth Family Maternity

I had the privilege of meeting this couple when they were pregnant with their first baby. It was so fun to be able to see them again and celebrate in the joy of a new pregnancy. I loved the connection that they shared. It's obvious they are smitten with this new baby to come. I'm excited to see how big brother is going to respond to a new baby to love.
