Libby & Bennett are Engaged!

We pulled into our designated location for this session and it immediately started down-pouring!! We made a quick judgement call to carry on with the photos, even if it meant dancing in the rain. (She did drive nearly two hours) So we pivoted, picked a new location with a gazebo and as we got out of the car, we saw a gorgeous rainbow and the rain stopped. Everything was a bit wet and steamy but the sun came out and it made for fantastic photos.

I so love seeing young love and have enjoyed watching this sweet girl grow up through the years. She is poised with so much grace and beauty and I am so excited for their future together.

Happy engagement you two!

Mark and Denise - The Chapel on McEver

When Denise contacted me about photography for her intimate wedding day, it happened to be one of the only Saturdays open on my calendar. Much like everything revolving around her wedding, God was lining things up and orchestrating her day perfectly. We chatted on the phone like old friends about what she desired and how God had been at work putting this special day together. She shared how finding the perfect dress seemed effortless (you know, being 6’3 can really give you some limitations on purchasing clothing) and how the 3rd dress off the rack fit beautifully. And, might I add, that she looked stunning in it!

It was a beautiful day blending two families into one. Mark, Denise and their children all gathered together and shared in this special day. It was such a sweet and intimate ceremony with only their children and parents by their side. Oh, and of course, their amazing friends, Lance and Kate who have been incredible prayer partners and encouragers.. It always amazes me to see such sweet friendships and hear such positive things about how one prayer partner/friend can really change your life.

We ended the evening in the vineyards at Chateau Elan where the grape vines made a perfect backdrop for the newlywed couple.
